Hacking Gateway PRIVATE BETA 2.3b

Tried to boot My legit copy of Pokemon Y in Classic mode emunand 8.1 and it said my save was corrupted. Guess that's still broken. The cart was fine though when i put it into my other 3DS (Phew).

I guess this is confirmation that they didn't fix it entirely, and just patched their way around it.

There has been a few times where the wireless settings from Emunand suddenly appear back on my sysNand after I know for sure i previously deleted it from sysnand. Now im in the habit of checking b4 booting in emunand. Does this happen for anyone else? Its not a huge deal just came as a surprise to me and i figure some people might think their safe when they might not be. Im only on my sysnand for a few seconds at most just need to be careful and not to close the lid lol.

I was able to reproduce this by entering wifi settings on 4.4 emunand, dropping out into real nand and the settings were created there. That doesn't seem right does it... worrying.

That's interesting. I've never had the problem yet but I'll be on the lookout!

So if update my emunand to 8.1 and back it up with the sd tool even if right now does not work ,it will work when the 2.3 update comes out? Thanks un advance

If you have a Gateway card, yes, it will work. If you don't, the new encryption will lock you out as you need a Gateway card to access it. However, this may just be for the beta period and may be removed when the final 2.3 update is released.

If you have a Gateway card, yes, it will work. If you don't, the new encryption will lock you out as you need a Gateway card to access it. However, this may just be for the beta period and may be removed when the final 2.3 update is released.

It's likely that this is a new anti-clone measure from Gateway. This means that it's probably here to stay, especially if none of the testers experience any problems related to this anti-clone measure

Classic mode users did not have to get a GW to use emunand 7.1 on classic mode. It just means that they now have to get a GW to get emunand 8.x
