Hacking GATEWAY: install CIA

reading about install .cia using my OLD3DS and gateway.

Any hints or step by step guide ?

you can use fbi installer or other tools, boot as a 3ds rom each time or boot the rom and install the cia installer.

there's also the dev menu which I stopped using when I moved away from gateway. there's a 3ds version of it on gateway's site.

Gateway doesn't support installing Decrypt9WIP/GodMode9-built CIAs.
They will error on 99% process.
To resolve this question, switch Gateway to Luma3DS, install CIA, then back to Gateway.

Yes, you can use BBM, it is working fine to install cia updates of games, and a lot of homebrews. I am using it and I have no issue with it. the interface is very clear.
FBI is good also as stated before.
