it will only show once every 24 hours, I believe.
You should format your 4.5 sysnand to get rid of it.
In fact, I formatted my 4.2.0-9U Zelda 3DSXL. EmuNAND on 9.4 still remembers my NNID and I can restore my SysNand 9.2 NNID if I really wanted to. I downloaded a game I previously purchased under my account and it functions completely fine.

However, I highly suspect all of my internal save data was deleted. Maybe I'll restore to 9.2 and re-downgrade afterall...

EDIT: Wait nope, can't restore my SysNAND without hardmodding, huh? Well that sucks, guess I can't access my saves until a softmod method comes and/or I decide to hardmod it myself ha ha

And to think you were bitching all day every day til now. You see, good things happen to those who wait ;) I'm really excited about the bonus feature they've been teasing :D

Um well you know my gateway card doesn't work, it's a fautly one and my reseller refuses to replace so I had to order a new one.
I can downgrade, do nand backups, everything but actualyl playing games.
I would have good reason to bitch about buut the awesomeness of the fact that I just put my japanese XL on 4.4 overwheighs my frustration over the fact that I have to pay twice for the Gateway.

Do we need to make a new Sysnand Backup (4.5) after downgrading? I have already kept safe my 9.2 sysnand backup but i want to make sure if i need to make 4.5 as well

3.0 bricked the first unit.
3.0.1 succeeded on red [damaged test unit]
You bricked a console with it?
could you give more information please?
what happen and when did it crashed (at downgrade, at reboot), what do you see now?

the old bluescreen error or a blackscren, etc.

Adding to first post could be useful.

Whoa whoa wait, my Streetpass data is still in-tact in 9.4 EmuNAND?

EDIT: The Mii didn't survive though, RIP until I can soft-restore/decide to hard-restore SysNAND.

Quick question. I have a Smash Bros 3ds with firmware 6.2 or something 6..... Anyways my question is this. After I downgrade to 4.2 because I have a US DS can I install CFW to play backup roms? I have a r4i card. If I read correct I need to use that to launch some exploit to install the CFW. Am I correct? I have modded ps3s, wii's, xbox 360's. I'm not a noon on how to mod things but I haven't done a ton of research on the 3ds because it's for my son and not myself. Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

Successfully downgraded my EUR Fire Emblem 3DSXL from 9.2 to 4.5 (Original firmware IIRC was 4.3/4.5)

I want to do away with the browser exploit because I dislike it. Can I do the DS Profile trick with the blue card files under the 3.01 release or should I revert the Gateway launcher back to 2.6/2.7?

Just downgraded a 3ds that shipped with 5.0U then was updated to 9.2U. Used the QR code exploit to downgrade, then used my Gateway card to boot into Gateway mode on the 4.2. No problems, no delays on rebooting.

Formatted and updated emunand, also. No issues.

1) Yes you can use the same SD card for different regions as long as the gw is correct (Just to answer my own question)
2) Succesfully downgraded Zelda XL to 4.5.0-8E
3) Got update nag though. As I recall just formatting will get rid of it? Or what was it?

Succesfully downgraded my 9.2 Aqua Blue XL to 4.5 (EU).

But the moment I finished, a freaking update nag appeared, what he hell.
You didn't had an update prompt on your current sysNAND?
maybe Gateway used a copy of 4.x dump which had an update already downloaded, and it also restored it?

Apparently happens only on EUR?

I had the same issue. But it's not a big deal, you can get rid of it as I understand?

Yeah, I didn't have the nag before downgrading, I'm extra careful with this stuff.

I guess I'll format the system.

yes, formating SysNAND will delete it.
I think there's also the method with starting downloading a newer version and shutting down the network, it deletes all the updated files.

Will add that info to first post.

Downgrade worked for me on my launch EU 3DS from 9.2.

Has the unfortunate side effect that I can't boot my retail games from the main menu and have to boot them all through EMUNAND, but the extra step when playing retail is worth it.

• It appears that if you do not have your sysNAND and emuNAND linked when you downgrade that you cannot open up eShop on 9.4 emuNAND
-> I need clarification on this one. So if you sysNAND and emuNAND weren't linked before downgrade you're screwed and can't use eshop?
Sorry I haven't used emuNAND on my 9.2 consoles so I had no idea I really needed it before downgrading.

Restored my 4.2.0-9U SysNAND backup before I formatted. Seems like Streetpass data restored, but was corrupted and immediately deleted. I bet it would've worked on EmuNAND but heads up on that.

So, restoring SysNAND is probably safe and I'll restore it again to test if Streetpass is safe in EmuNAND.

You're probably safe to test that if you back up sysNAND before restoring, realize you made a mistake, then restore by holding Up when you select Downgrade on the Gateway menu.

However, I recall seeing someone say, earlier in this thread not even 5 pages ago, that that was the case.
