Hacking Gateway Downgrading

I used winmd5 and compared md5 checksums against my version I wanted to downgrade from their download sections.

so i just load my nand.bin into winmd5?

First, my 3DS XL was on 5.1 when I bought it (brand new) and it is always on 5.1.

What have I to do for downgrade it?

My was 6.1 brand new but now 4.5.0 QR code exploit still works but ds profile not for me. Someone give me a hand?

my 3ds just got bricked i downgraded from 9.2.0U to 4.2.0U the downgrade was okay it worked and i shut down my 3ds then it wont boot at all

send me details, did you give it a couple of minutes to boot?

Quick tutorial :
- Download the dg file which matches with your console region here : http://www.gateway-3ds.com/downloads/
- Put the 3.0.1 launcher.dat and the dg file on your sd card
- CHECK THE MD5 OF THE DG FILE ON YOUR SD CARD
- Go to the gateway menu and choose downgrade.

Yes, i deleted my savegame with L+R+X+Y button combo but now it seems ninjhax is not more installable :/

hey gamefan5 can u try it? I have like 10+ eshop games, legitly bought, and i want to downgrade but i'm worried i'll lose my games and saves

From what I know, old games before 4.5 will still work. Newer games will give u an SD card Error.
I highly suggest you make an NAND backup and make an EmuNAND of it (you can actually return to it as well by pressing up to the downgrade feature to restore the original nand iirc)

do not forget to backup your nand first incase it/you screw up

use the downgrade to get to 4.5 and attempt using the upgrader for that. dont come to me if it bricks though when you try, nobody is replying because we dont know

Thats why I keep asking for someone with a nand mod to try first and report back if its even posible

Awesome, I did a downgrade to 4.2u and a nand restore back to 9.2u on my old ambassador 3ds. It works great.

Okay, so I downgraded it and now it shows 4.2.0-9U. Great. Now what?

I assume I use the blue card now. I placed the R4i files in there, and thats all I know. Can someone help me from here? I'm new to gateway.

Yep take the files from the blue card (R4i) folder and stick em in the micro sd that will go into the blue card and play from your 3ds and run the gateway installer rom, afterwards do the power reboot, switch to your red card gateway, go to settings -> profile -> ds profile then hold L after you hit ds profile... and..... VOILA gateway menu enjoy!
