Hacking Gateway Downgrade Help

Are the regular downgraders installed by .CIA?

They can be if you prefer that, but all of them have .3dsx versions too for hbl compatibility. And like everyone has said: DO NOT downgrade to 4.0!!! It is completely useless!!! Upgrade to 9.2 instead!!

Why is it useless? Like I said I do not care at all for any CFWs, I would just like to use my gateway if at all possible. Downgrading to 4.1-4.5 I can exploit without internet and emunand to 11.0. Right now Im going to look at the downgrader you mentioned earlier

And it is useless because it doesn't work as good that way, and has a higher chance of bricking. If you go through with this guide you can do all the things your gateway can do plus use its exclusive features with no emunand and nothing special on 11.0

It's useless because it has been known to break 3DS's before and lacks several features that CFW has, which you could setup in half an hour. Do not downgrade. You will regret it.

Before I do anything, is there anyone who will read my OP and help me fix the problem? If not, I will try the Plailect guide. Also, I'm not gonna do CIA cuz my SD card is only 8 GB

I never said you should go with CIA only.
I said you could go that way.
Keeping your Gateway is an option just as doing CIA installs.

Well doing it the gateway way HAS a good chunk of a chance for bricking EVEN IF you follow correctly, so there's that

What if those extra features involve not bricking your $200 piece of plastic? That's like if you go sky diving, and you choose the backpack that only has one parachute because the one that has a safety parachute requires 5 minutes to prepare, and you don't care about the added benefits of not dying.

It seems you cant downgrade a 2ds to 4.5.

However why dont you upgrade to 9.0/9.2 and install MenuHax to get rid of using the Browser everytime?
(sorry I have actually no idea if this will work since it has been ages since I installed GW on my o3ds and n3ds. I also dont now if sth could happen to your Savegames)
