I'm beginning to understand the system of the cheats a bit. Though I don't know the difference between 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit.

8-bit = 1 byte
16-bit = 2 bytes
32-bit = 4 bytes

An 8 bit write to an address will only modify the byte at that address. A 32-bit write will modify four bytes starting at the address in question.

How can I calculate the v1.1 EUR codes? I tried using USA codes as they are very similar, but it didn't work

Are we really lost without pointers? The address for the hp percentage on Smash Bros is always changing each session, and it doesn't look like Gateway has any way of combating that, eh?

Gateway should support pointers (code type BXXXXXXX 00000000), what we haven't figured out yet is how to find the pointers, though.

Is there some noob friendly tutorial on how make gateway cheats? I mean, how to make cheats like there was for Badge arcade - to press whatever to make the cheat functional and so? I know how to find adresses, how to work with them but I don't know how to save them or how to make them launchable through keys.

To be honest, I have no idea how to go about finding pointers. I had a theory, but that didn't work out at all for my dumps of the Badge Arcade RAM. Plus the addresses seem to offset, ie the virtual address we use in the cheats are not the physical address in the dump.

Really? Gateway dumps a different RAM file than the one used for comparisons in their cheat engine?

@Localhorst86 Will you eventually be releasing your CC code? I'm really interested in how you got it to work. I've tried 3 different roms with my codes, which leads me to think that its something wrong with my gateway code, and not the rom.

I am slightly torn on this.

Firstly, once the cheat has been activated, it can only be disabled by exiting the game to the home menu and ending the game. It's a bit dirty.

Secondly - and that is more important - the code should work online (haven't tested it, thougb) which is something I'd prefer not to release. But since the pastebin is available anyways, anyone could recreate the code anyways.

What do you guys think? Should I release the code, potentially allowing stupid people to spoil online play and possibly even calling attention from Nintendo?

It's a bit late to be worrying about online cheaters, somebody already beat you to it. This is the kinda thing I'd love to use to complete the game quickly or have a piss about with friends. Your call in the end though!
