I bought a Gateway back when it was actually useful, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't refund it if I got the chance to.
At this point a Sky3DS, or exploitable game (+Powersaves) is more useful. You can at least use those for consoles on firmwares without freehax.

A9LH+Luma is so much more convenient than Gateway since:
I don't need the DRM cart inserted.
All pros of A9LH over other entrypoints.
Works from a coldboot without any user input.
I can play GBA games and DSiWare.
It's open source.
