I believe all of these "recent" emails were posted a dozen pages back, and now, people that keep posting them are confusing newer members, because all that does is simply fuel the flames that the thing is delayed even more.

It's actually more official if you have a screenshot of the email itself, so it doesn't look forged. Emails can be EASILY forged.

This response means three things:
1 - Gateway is real.
2 - My friend is going to be the first seller of gateway in afric.
3 - I'll be the first to buy one.

Not necessarily, actually. It'd be considered "real" when they provide more information to us, as what they have shown us is still quite unclear and a lot of things are up in the air. And selling Gateway units requires something of a $2500 downpayment if I recall correctly, in order to become an "official retailer." (Source: A lot of my own sponsors were unable to secure units due to being unable to pay the cost of the units).

From my sources the Gateway 3DS team have hit the next stage of production, and from an email the team has said the date is now 1 weekish. They added in they'd contact me when the sample has been shipped.

Do not preorder the GW3DS, I know its been said but I'll say it again. The GW3DS team does not want you to preorder, because if something flops then they're going to get the flak. Wait for word from the GW3DS team before you start buying them.

This thread will not be closed as people will just make newer threads, which GBAtemp Staff will then have to deal with. It's better to have it confined to a single thread, rather than have it all over the 3DS Hacking Forum.

Jokes while they indeed are funny to some, are actually pretty good sources of incorrect information. By googling "gbatemp gateway 3ds" you'll see that a lot of other websites actually get their information by reading threads like these. What happens when they read a fake email stating the GW3DS is fake, and the team is going to run off with the money? They think it's real, and repost the information as fact.

So, Will Gateway 3DS need to be updated to run 3DS Roms that require a higher firmware? Like Pokemon X/Y? Or is the update not attached to the Rom/ISO itself? I apologize if this has been answered before.

We have no knowledge on how Gateway works now, nor do we have any knowledge on how it will work in the future.

No sir, with all due respect all you're doing is showing off and claiming that everybody else is an idiot, nothing's been confirmed yet, we haven't pre-ordered, nobody's that stupid, but this delay does NOT prove anything, for all we know they may been struggling with the new firmware, or maybe they ran up into some issues, patience is a virtue.

I am not doing anything of the kind. Otherwise I would have been trolled or flagged by now. And by the way showing off what? I don't make the products so I am in no way capable of contributing nor "showing off". heh... it has been like this all week, negativity of the internet. It is cheap to be negative and easy to sit behind a computer doing nothing useful. But such is how it goes.

Modchips and flash carts have been around for years, you can buy flash carts for the NES and SNES and modchips for the PS1 even. Get with the times.

Rydian, oh silly furry creature guy (jk I'm amazed this thread hasn't been lock and keyed already. The trolls are starting to come about and become restless.

Hopefully they get their flash cart soon enough and that should pacify them. But for me, I'm going to wait and see what else comes out. I haven't used my 3DS much lately but I really really don't mind buying games for it because there are few that I really enjoy. However it IS better than my ipod touch5 (which essentially can play all the iphone games/apps, sans anything that has to do with GPS). So it definitely is a great little console.
