Hopefully it's cheap OR at least affordable.
odds are it'll be expensive as it has literally zero competition, i'm thinking at least between $80 to $100 USD.
still considering you get free games think of it as buying two or three new games but you got more some how, it stings a little less.

i gotta wonder, could this be used to inject a rom loader into the 3ds that reads roms off the SD card?

Sure.... if you can sign the rom loader. Otherwise no. This won't run unsigned code so absolutely no homebrew. We need either an exploit that lets it run code unsigned OR the signature keys to leak.

If it turns out to be real, I might consider getting it. But, I'll wait for a system update, then see if it still works. If it does, then I'm all game.

That's providing it's real, unlike the Crap3DS.

Oh and we need another percentage added to that bar too. What's it at now? 76%?

There are several teams looking at cloning this as soon as its out the door, which is great for the rest of us as it will mean more cards on the market and should help bring cost down.

I have a brand new never used 3DS which I got on launch I don't plan on updating it.

The fact that you need to swap micro sd's is no big deal we have to swap out carts to play something else anyway.

Hope my supplier stocks this card soon.

why did you buy it?

why did you buy it?

I purchased it to use exclusively with a flashcard if one becomes available?

I have every ds type and many spares for the lite, I might make a ds arcade machine from all my spares when i get time.

Which most likely won't play newer games once they come out due to force system updates. Sadly.

Yes that's something I didn't consider.

I just love the fact its not been touched yet, I would allow a forced update on a game i really like.

well maybe this will change my mind about things...

edit:nope it did change my mind. such a shame... guess i'll wait longer..

LOL at the irony at mods blocking piracy discussion this cart is all about piracy you might as well lock this topic too then, this new flashcart its a big step for 3ds but there are a few things that let it down:

region lock still not removed
having to backup save file each time you need to play a new game
only being able to load one game at a time
only being able to use one memory card at a time, so if you wanted to play say 20 3ds games you would need 20 memory cards that is just stupid.

a cfw solution would have been much better a flashcart can be easily blocked by nintendo and is a stupid way to distribute imo a cfw you have much more control over the os and what it can do.

this flashcart is a deja vu of the ninjapass x9 i brought all those years ago that cart was horrible too but what do you expect it was a first gen flashcart.
anyways i have no reason to buy this at all, it serves no purpose and has no benefits either, you would never be able to update your 3ds if you brought one of these so you would have to stay offline forever, I'm sure much better solutions will come along sooner or later this is only just the beginning but it will bring even more frequent updates from nintendo to try and block this thing (usual cat and mouse rubbish)

No Shaniqua, they don't have the ability to make CFW. At least not them. The whole point of this is for them to make easy money by ripping others off. This won't help anyone in the 3DS hacking scene at all.

Price will be determined by what's really inside. If it's something easy to reproduce (and by the looks of things, it is probably), then even if it's being sold $100, in few weeks, you'll see clones appear for less.

It has no writable firmware, so it's most likely only a single chip and some E2PROM for the save game .

Crazy how something like this can reveal everyone's true colors.

Breaking news: People use some devices to avoid purchasing games! More at 11.

Eh, if the region lock's still there I probably won't be getting it. I just want to be able to play the Shin Megami Tensei games without having to wait a year for localisation :(
