For those of you that don't know, Gang Garrison is a 2D demake of the popular game Team Fortress 2. It features 8-bit graphics accompanied by some TF2 inspired maps. You can also play as all nine classes from TF2 making it a hectic and fun online multiplayer game.
Best of all, its free.

Yes that's right, now all us people here on the temp who can't afford a copy of Team Fortress 2 can now join in on some TF2 action!

The game plays exactly like Team Fortress 2 save the graphics and some levels. There's even a map called 'truefort'! This game is a fun game to play in general and i thought it would be a good idea to have a little 'Gang Garrison Night' For those who are interested!

Some Info from the site:
QUOTE said:
Gang Garrison 2 presents the player with 9 unique classes to use in frenetic, cooperative multiplayer action in a stylish and unique 8-bit style. Battle with your friends or others you encounter online through a whole range of vibrant maps; TF2 maps reimagined in 2D as well as a multitude of maps with all sorts of different looks and settings, all of which have been dreamed up and constructed by members of our community. We've made a huge effort to provide simple, bugfree custom map support, so that anyone with a paint application can put together a map and test it themselves with our Garrison Builder utility. We also gladly encourage Gang Garrison modifications; many successful mods have been incorporated into the game as new features.

Its quite easy to install and just jump right in and best of all, you can run it as long as you have a computer with a internet connection, so now even shitty computers like mine can join in on some pixelated blood and bone!

Heres the download link so you can just jump on in:

If we get enough people interested, I'll see if i can organize a Gang Garrison 2 Night with Minox or someone so the poorer and retro-er Tempers can join in on some fun!

If we get enough people interested, we can host mulitple games (the max in a room is 100

)

Hope we get some Tempers in so we can have a blast!

I'm more of a fan of the actual TF2, but I'm up for it. This demake can be rather fun actually (although spies are next to useless

). In any case, if this gets done I could put it up on the front page. Just make sure to remind me of it though

is there dedicated server software?
I can probably host it.
I think there is, i'll have to check cos it can apparently reduce the lag

EDIT: Well i managed to get a dedicated server running u think? But my computer has to be on 24/7 =.=''
Hey Antoligy, could you possibly host it on a 24/7 server cos i have no idea how to ^^''

That sounds really unfriendly "cannot afford a copy"

I would say "Does not want a copy" or "Has not had inspiration to get a copy" but the price is not one reason - it costs, what, 20 in retail (twenty whatever they use in your country, euros, dollars, excluding Yens, zimbabwean dollars and dongs)

and also it's not like there was three days when it cost 2.5 dollars...

Anyhow, as You can see I myself DO have copy of TF2, but nevertheless I could try it out in Gang's of Garrison

I can host the server if you guys want?
My pc is on 24/7 I can even start the server now so all of us can have a few practice games

can you move perhaps an hour later? Its dinner time at that time....
or maybe in like 1PM?Awkward time for me,but I might manage(just late in joining)
