I want to play a game with an excellent story!
I have already played Hotel Dusk. It was phenomenal!
I do want the game to be fun though.
Can you guys list some games?

Ty! (:

Try the Final Fantasy games. FF 3 and 4 both have great stories. RPG's in general have good stories so just look at those. Soma bringer (Action RPG) has had a fan translation here on Gbatemp and has a great story.

The Phoenix Wright series also has great story.

I liked Phoenix Wright!

I recommend TWEWY as well, the story will hook you up right from the start. Other than that, go for Nostalgia or Glory of Heracles, both are greatly praised and are on my "to play" list.

If you'd like another adventure, try Another Code. Although it is rather short, it was made by the same company that did Hotel Dusk, and HD contains references to this game.

And if you have played Kingdom Hearts for PS2, I'd recommend Kingdom Hearts 358/2, it's superb. If you haven't played the other games, it'll still be really entertaining, but you'll miss out on some things. (the pcsx 2 beta 1888 (Playstation 2 emulator) will play both Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 perfectly, if you have some time check them out!).

But personally, I think the best game ever both story-wise and battle system-wise is the Golden Sun for GBA, so if you have a slot-2 flashcard (or now the DSTWO), do try them out ("them", because the game is technically split into two, so you have Golden Sun and its continuation in Golden Sun: The Lost Age). And of course, FF8 (but this one's only on the Playstation or PC, not on the DS. Go for the PC version.).

FF4 for damn sure.
Hearing Tellah yell out YOU SPOONY BARD! in all its audio glory is worth playing through the story at least once.

Well.... There's...

The World Ends With You
Final Fantasy III DS
Final Fantasy IV DS
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of Ancient Arts
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Phantasy Star 0
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum
Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver
Ragnarok DS
Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2
Tales of Dagur (Homebrew game, so much fun!)
Virtual Villagers
The Sims 2
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Yoshi's Island DS
Spore Creatures
Children of Mana

As a joke, i'll say WarioWare Touched! has a good story as well. LOL! (Yes, there IS a story to that, albeit dumb and not very long. It's shown before the title screen comes up.)

Xenogears has the best story I've seen. It is more entertaining/multi-layered than any book I've ever read. The plot is so twisting that there's layers upon layer of plot and half of it you'd need the internet to delve into. I really enjoyed how they played with immortality.

for ds

chrono trigger by far

ace attorney series
FFIII
FFIV
FF Tactics A2
Shin megami tensei devil survivor
Shin megami tensei strange journey
The world end with you

Games with good stories would be:
Glory of Heracles (RPG; Interesting)
Sands of Destruction (RPG; Unique twist, you play the guy who wants to help destroy the world)
Luminous Arc series (Tacticle RPG; Revolves around magic)
Professor Layton series (Interactive Novel, Puzzles; It's like a mystery novel)
Shin Megami Tensei (RPG; Both DS games, they have multiple endings

)
Time Hollow (Visual Novel; Very straightforward, not really for gameplay, but the story was great)
