So what games do you wish Nintendo (or Capcom or Chunsoft or whoever) would get off their a** and make a sequel to a game you loved either as a child or still do. For me I would like a Megaman Battle Network reboot and the third game in the Zero Escape trilogy!

Shenmue?

PS: Regarding Zero, I hope they make a sequel for VLR.
All was great with 999, it ended nice, provided closure and everything.
Then they HAD to make VLR, kind of an uncalled sequel to 999 that ends in the middle of nothing.
It makes me angry, I was OK with how 999 ended but now I need a sequel to VLR also.

Super Mario 64.

I mean, it's been 19 years. What the fuck, Nintendo? Sunshine plays similarly to 64, but not enough to be considered a sequel.

Also, I had this idea a couple days ago that it would be great if the reason they've remade Ocarina and Majora on 3DS because they intended to round them out with a sequel, making it a trilogy.

Sounds too good to be possible.
It would be awesome.

EDIT: It would be awesome if it is not an N3DS exclusive.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 want to talk to you.

And they're great. My Top 3 favorite games consist of Galaxy, Galaxy 2 and Mario 64. But part of what made Mario 64 so great for me is that you're free to roam around the painting worlds. In the Galaxy games, level design is linear so you've got nothing to do but advance- and once you launch off of a planetoid, you can't travel back (unless there's some sort of puzzle involved).

Though now that you mention it. I'm waiting on a Galaxy 3 too.

now you mention it, yeah a sm64 like design would be nice.

Totally agree with Battle Network. As for the others... well many... Some of most important ones would be:
SOTN Style Castlevania
Pokemon Ranger
Summon Night: Swordcraft Story
Oboro Muramasa \ Grim Grimoire
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's Portable: The Gears of Destiny
Megaman ZX
Magical Starsign
Hagane

I'd have to say The World Ends with You and Summon Night: Twin Age. I don't have much reason other than that those were the two games that I remember enjoying the most as of recent years, as I've slowly began to lose interest in more story driven games and get more into competitive games and games that are more multiplayer oriented.

Top down LoZ. ALBW was great, but it was the first LoZ game I enjoyed since TP and MC, so I wouldn't mind more.
Side-scrolling Metroid
Metroid Prime
Castlevania (ARPG Metroidvania)
F-Zero
Jet Grind Radio

Honestly, though, I tend to prefer smaller games that are self contained and don't need sequels. The only franchises I stick to are ones that scratch particular itches every few years.

None of these games NEED a sequel, these are all just wants. This thread is as bad as all the people who say "Oh X series needs a season 2", they don't need one you just want one. Whenever developers finally get pressured enough to make sequels, they never turn out as people want, they can never live up to the hype. (There may be exceptions to the rule, but that doesn't discredit the said rule)

You shouldn't ask a developer to make a sequel, if they want to make one and they have the funding, they will. A game is rarely good if the developer isn't invested.

Oh yeah, how could I forget - fucking Bomberman! I can't believe how that IP has seemingly been killed off apart from shitty mobile puzzle titles. And there was a 3DS game practically ready to go, why not release it? Tho I'd probably prefer a more classic 2D version in an ideal world, but I'll take what I can get.

While I'd like to see one more Battle Network game, we've already had 6 of them. I'd want to see an EBA sequel and a new localized (good) Medabots RPG. The GBA ones were pretty great.

Well, actually the verb "need" is too strong to be used in almost any scenario, and frowned upon in many languages.
Nothing needs anything at all, existence is a luxury, the universe will stay almost unchanged with or without all kind of things people say they "need".
Anyway, we use English, one of the most casual, relaxed and formality free languages, and use wrong verbs because no one cares.

saga frontier. I have played that game probably 100 times or more. I just absolutely love it. one of the most underrated and misunderstood game in the west probably. one can only hope someday it will have a proper remake :)
