Oh it is. The large open worlds require a lot of GPU power and RAM.
ok, yeah. especially the RAM argument I hadn't really thought about.

You should check out the DS version, its an amazing achievement. How they managed to fit so much of the game into 4MB's I will never know.
I've seen it, but it's basically just Minecraft Classic, which was never very resource heavy. The reason it fits into 4MB is probably because a much smaller area of the world is loaded at any one time, which is fine for such a small screen, but on a larger screen it just won't look very good with a short render distance. It's still pretty amazing though since Minecraft uses 100s of MBs even with a short render distance.

Im just going to come in here and say that its pretty sad that a new console's life is started and one of the first threads to appear about it is, "games that need to be ported". What kind of life is that going to lead to? Huh, why buy a Wii U if i can just play those games... Now lol.
And yet there are many people moaning that there are too many ports already. I think Ubisoft have the right approach so far with the Wii U with them only either doing brand new Wii U games or releasing decent ports of games that will be very recent.

I would like to get ports of recent games that didn't come out on Wii. I feel like games like Skyrim need to be played by gamers all around cuz they are so fantastic. Nintendo only players shouldn't be short changed great gaming experiences cuz of limitations of hardware.
