Sup all, I played Final Fantasy Tactical Advance 2, and it is the best game I played atm. I like to have alot of characters choice and all. Do you guys know others game like that, with alot of character/job to play? I already played Fire Emblem.

Thanks

Advance Wars is not with characters, but it's also turnbased.
Try it out, you may like it a bit.

You can play the Age of Empires series on the DS too, it's also turnbased.

But there's ofcourse nothing better then Fire Emblem DS

Disgaea would be a good choice. selection of different kinds of characters to buy.
max level 9999
secret character unlockable (Disgaea DS Only so far i heard)
very extensive gameplay (you would love it!)
i recommend Disgaea totally
and i recommend the PSP or PS2 version tho =/
but DS is. reasonable and gots everything above

Why does no one ever mention Rondo of Swords? That game is so unappreciated. It is an extremely difficult and unique tactics game but so many people either forget about it's existence or bash it. Anyway, I recommend it.

It was a bit quirky, and I really didn't like the art style. It was still pretty good overall, though.

Deffinetly try Disgaea DS the game is exactly what your looking for. trust me i no cause i was in the same position as you are now a few months ago.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor is basically a slightly-deeper SRPG in that each character has two Demon allies and you select attacks for all of them, with the possibility of a second attack if your first one is effective enough. Other than that, there's Rondo of Swords, Disgaea DS, Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, Hoshigami Remix and the Luminous Arc games. My only word of warning is that Rondo of Swords is very weird. You might not like it since it isn't a traditional SRPG. You literally run through your enemies rather than attack them.

If you want a Strategy game then go with what they said.

If you want a game with lots of jobs then you should try Final Fantasy III, even though it isn't strategy or what ever you call that genre.

I can help with this.

Front Mission
Luminous Arc
Luminous Arc 2
Rondo of Swords
Hoshigami : Ruining Blue Earth
Drone Tactics
Shin Megami Tensei : Devil Survivor

Oh, and if you wanna use a Genesis emulator, there is always Shining Force 1 and 2.

Disgaea is great and you will never get bored. Even if you get to Lv 9999 you can reincarnate back to Lv 1, and I'm not sure if there is a max for total Lv of all your reincarnates. I heard people getting up to over 200,000, and you can Lv up your weapons up to Lv 100. Seriously is there a max total Lv??

Edit: and there are prinnys. They go BOOM!

nuts, i totally forgotten about that yet again, but its true though, this game is hard.

Anyway, another game that no1 mentioned: Knights in the nightmare?

FFTA2 is better than FEDS

Yes, that's just your opinion.

I prefer Fire emblem over FFTA2. I also prefer LA2 over FFTA2 for many reasons. Not only was FFTA2 far too slow for my taste, the crippled law system was also a bigger thing. Story was non-existant, nobody gave a damn about the characters, but it sure is a long game.

Also, FFT > FFTA > FFTA2

knights in the nightmare will pwn every tactics game....
SMTds is oso great but is rpg based...
nvr used to like advance wars/fire emblem tho...

From the topic title I guess you enjoy SRPG's and the best ones for the DS have already been mentioned.

Shin Megami Tensei has a great story, a different battle system, and is a great game.

The Luminous Arc series does not have great controls and the battle system is basically no different than FFT. The story is entertaining and the dialogue is funny.

Disgaea has good graphics, refined battle mechanics, lots of customization, and you can play it for scores of hours without getting bored.

Rondo of Swords, which is my favorite SRPG on the DS, has a completely revolutionary battle system, tons of customization options, a lengthy story, and plenty to do. It is kind of challenging though.

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume is a very underrated SPRG that does a lot of things well but is not great in any one area. I would still recommend it for SRPG fans.

I wouldn't really consider SMT: DS to be a SRPG. It's honestly just a RPG on a grid, since the battle system is a lot deeper than that of Fire Emblem and there isn't much of tactics (unlike Fire Emblem where you can wall off bridges with your big units or recall units).

Anyway, I'd say Advance Wars (all 4 of them, 2 for GBA 2 for DS), and there's still the 3 Fire Emblem games on handhelds if you haven't played them (original, Sacred Stones, and Shadow Dragon). I'm much more a fan of either straight up RPG's myself or real time strategy, so sorry if this post was kinda redundent.
