Gameplay trailer for VR bullet hell title 'YUKI' released
You might recall YUKI's announcement late last year which revealed a VR game set in an anime universe whose gameplay draws strong inspiration from STAR FOX. Back then, the game was slated to release in the first half of 2021 and it might be on track for this launch window since ARVORE, the game's developer (also the ones behind Pixel Ripped 1995), announced today that their new game will launch this summer.
YUKI is described as a blend of bullet-hell and roguelike genres in VR. In it, you control an action figure whose abilities and weapons you can upgrade so as to tackle hordes of enemies and challenging boss fights across STAR FOX-styled levels. Accompanying today's announcement was a brand-new trailer that gives us a better idea as to what to expect of YUKI's gameplay:
Enter a kid’s wild imagination and fly by controlling Yuki’s action-figure using your hands. Move your body to dodge bullets and obstacles, while fighting evil forces that want to control the universe, in this challenging game where each defeat is just another step to get closer to victory.
YUKI will release this summer on Oculus Quest, Quest 2, Rift and Steam VR. A PSVR version will release later this year.
