Hacking gamecube backups don't work

I just recently tried to burn my backup of Super Mario Sunshine on a disk and play it on my wii.
I firstly tried it with darkcorp.
I pressed the A button for resolution and the screen went greenish and froze.
Then I tried it with WIIGATOR's Gamecube backup launcher v0.2 and it said:
"ERROR 0x31100 Ready", the screen went pixelated and froze.
Is there a fix for this?

First question I have to ask... Are you able to play other Wii backups? Making sure your Wii is capable of using DVDRs. Also is the disc you used a DVD-R and not DVD+R? I have trouble with DVD+Rs on mine. There are a few MIOS's so make sure you try each. One doesn't work for me, but cant recall which one. I think you can get them from ModMii.
