It had to for the first few days, but no, now you just run nintendon't and it initializes the controller itself. (its so much nicer that i don't have to use smash anymore)

So I can use my Wavebird with Nintendont on my Wii U? This is fantastic!

Is the adaptor sold separately (without Smash Bros)?

My Linux driver has been upgraded. It now supports rumble, multiple adapters at once, and adapter hotplugging (along with controller hotplugging from before). It also is no longer Python.

Gamecube Adapter finally arrived, now I can get some testing done. If anyone wants to pitch in some FAQ questions for me to add to the first post when I spruce it up, that'd be nice. Stuff like: does it support 4 controllers, what does the second usb cable to besides give more power (apparently it's used for rumble ???), etc. It'd also be nice to link me if anyone's added support for Mac.

For now, but Nintendo is making more. There is proof of this as some import stores state there will be more on December 16th for ordering, so, Amazon UK doesn't speak for the entirety of Nintendo. It's selling too well for them not to.
