Well, thanks for the replies guys. I ended up getting an EZ Flash IV Mini-SD, though upon playing around with it I've run into a few hurdles:

A few of the games don't work. I understand that while compatibility isn't 100%, games like Super Street Fighter II and Super Mario Advance 3 - Yoshi's Story, are games that I believe shouldn't have a problem playing. However, they don't work for me. I've been using the client to put them on my Mini SD card, so the problem shouldn't be just dragging the files in. What's up with not being able to play those two games?

Also, I've gotten myself a 512mb card, and although it's not much, it does the job (since I'll be using this cart exclusively for GBA gaming). My point is, however, that a 512mb Sandisk Mini SD card would not be the problem to unplayable games... If I am wrong, correct me.

Also, how do you activate the cheats? I've included the cheat files when "sending" the games onto my Mini SD card (using the client), but I have no idea how to activate them. The dodgy English from the EZ team doesn't help things when it comes to activating them

. I've also tried navigating through the menu, but no luck. Any hints?

Since the EZ Flash IV is an old flash-cart, there's not much in terms of Google results, so any help here would be appreciated. Thanks for helping me choose guys!

I read the entire topic and I'm in the same situation. I just bought a used GBM and I want a Flashcard. Then, many of you suggest the EZFlash IV. But, what is the best place to deal with ?

I already buy at GameYeeeah (good place, but difficult to understand their english!), GamerSection.ca and SupercardNDS.

And to be sure : this card will not support game like Pokemon with RTC? What other games with this feature needed?

Gameyeeah is good, I got my 3 in 1 from them with no problems at all. Dealextreme is another good site with cheaper prices but the shipping is a bit slow. Both shops are highly recommended around these parts.

Some things you might want to consider about the ESFlash IV though; RTC is not supported but there are ways around that also, Sleep mode doesn't inherently work with the EZ IV but you can use a few tools that will let you use a non in-game sleep mode from the cart.

Make sure to look into the solutions for these problems before you get anything though, the EZ IV looks really good and I am actually considering it at the moment but I'm also trying to decide if I really need another flash cart.

What is the other solution for a GBM flash card ?

I just received my EZ-Flash IV, but I cannot use it for the simple reason that it comes with a SD card reader, instead of a miniSD card reader. Without adapter (miniSD to SD), I'm completely fuck.

lol
sometimes, life sucks...

I bought a EZIV from gameyeeeah (someone knows why there's 3 "e" ?) last week.
I had some troubles when I was redirected to the paypal page, it was my fault. I contacted them and in 48 hours, I sent the payment and they sent the flashcard. they seems very reliable.
I hope receive it tomorrow or the day after.

PharaohsVizier : Thank you for your help, but I live at the other side of the country in QC...

Yeah... I bought my MiniSD card used on eBay, then no adapter comes with. Then, I just order an adapter on DealExtreme : $1.94. What a big order! But long waiting... about 1 week.

I made two orders with GameYeeeah and both were perfect. Fast shipping and no duties on parcel reception. Hope you will have the same.

yeah, I will report as soon as received the package but they seem very good.

I also ordered a gbmicro screen protector from playasia like 2 weeks ago... i'm still waiting !
I mean, ok delivery fees are free when you live in Japan with this website but HK and Japan are supposed to be closed... 2 weeks for a screen protector which worth 400 yen O_o

Ok then, I received both today. I was a bit amazed by the poor quality of the screen protector and I didn't succeed to put it on my gb micro (yeah I sucks...).
The EZ went 10 min later ^^
The USB cable is oxyded but well I don't need it. For the rest, everything looks fine ! Thx GameyEEEah

Those games work for me, here's my client. Sometimes, you need to rename the ROM so that it's 8 or fewer characters long.

Also, here's my firmware. (put ezfla_up.bin on the root of your card and hold R when booting)

i play those games all the time on my EZIV phat/miniSD. i prefer Street Fighter Alpha, but Yoshi's Island is one of my all time favorites. I use the latest client and REBOOT firmware.

Thanks gbpix for the firmware! I'll test it out tonight.

You guys are lucky that you even got a USB converter for the mini-SD. Bamboogaming promised one, but it never came in the mail

! Lucky for in-built SD card readers and mini to normal SD cases then.

Will edit this space if the firmware works a charm!!!

UPDATE: gbpix - Many thanks! All the games that should work do work now! I must've found an older firmware.

Also, anyone know of a compatibility list of GBA games for the EZ Flash IV (if such a list exists)? Games such as Kingdom Hearts still doesn't work, but meh, I'm not too concerned about not being able to play Kingdom Hearts. Again, thanks for all the help, everyone!

Kingdom hearts also works fine for me.

You need to copy it to NOR before you can actually play it.

Simple question : How to soft reset to go back to main menu ?
You can try Boot-O-Matic Advance to see if it can patch your game (and if it supports your card), or you can also try the GBATA restart patch.
