Gameboy Game Genie codes to ROM hack?

Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to make a Game Genie code permanent. I want to apply the music code to a copy of Tetris DX and put it on my GB flash card as I don't have a physical Game Genie. Anyone have any idea how to translate a Game Genie code into an actual ROM modification?

I've seen some postings elsewhere on how to do it with NES and Genesis ROMs, I assume it can be done with a Gameboy ROM as well, but perhaps not. Anyone else?

How funny. I just extracted the "Rom City Rampage" NES ROM from his remake of his remake of GTA3 "Retro City Rampage." Small world after all.
