so i finally made the update for my psp to 6.60 pro mod c... I'm trying to get the game catergories plugin working like I used to have it on previous fw. I've got game catergories lite 1.4 which is supposed to work with 6.60... But its acting as if no plugin is even enabled, even though it shows it is enabled in the recovery menu. No other plugins are enabled currently.

When you enable, then press select to save. Or if its not working, try getting another one.
Also go to settings and search for Categorize: ....
You can set what kind of category you wanna use.

Sorry i dont have my psp now and i forgot how it works just go in system settings and try it.

There's two versions of the plugin for 6.x, there's categories_light and categories_lite. The _lite version is the one I use since I can't seem to get the other one working. With that one you just make folders inside the GAME and ISO folders with the category names you want.

I'm trying to use game catergories lite 1.5 r3. But Neither that not xmb control are working for me... It's pretty strange since now i've gotten other plugins to work...

Here ya go thanks for the help, I've managed to get all my plugins working besides the multipops loader and game catergory

Wow. Well that's just embarrassing. Thanks so much for the help. Notice I misspelled category in all my previous posts too. SHAMEFUL!

Any way to change how the categories are displayed? or any options that can be adjusted at all? is there no uncategorized section now?

Theoretically you should be able to keep stuff out of the category folders to make them show up on their own, but that depends on the plugin used and the settings and such. I haven't messed with these newer versions much.
yeah on the older version you would press L + R + Home to get a menu to pop up for it... no such luck on the new one...

EDIT: ok so actually you can edit the settings in the settings menu on the XMB. THanks for the help Rydian

Hate to revive a dead thread, but it would be nice if all these plugins came with useful instructions for use. I spent the better part of an hour late last night trying to get my game categories to show, and never got it to work. All the freaking download needed was a text file that said "Go to settings: categories to set up". But it didn't even have that. I've noticed that this is the norm for PSP plugins.

I disagree. The Wii scene is very well documented for just about all their stuff. Not so much on the Sony side of homebrew, which I find odd.
