Hacking G6 Lite

i own a 1g g6 and i wouldnt really recommend it for general GBA use. Works great for NDS tho.

Shame. I was hoping I could have just one cartridge for both GBA and NDS.

I suppose there's a small hope that they've improved the GBA experience with the G6 Lite...

it's not out yet...they said they want to release it this month, but honestly I doubt this is gonna happen...we'll see

if the 4Gb card is really going to cost something like $62, this will be my new flashcard

aw I really hope they release the G6 Lite soon. It seems the best for people who just want a few games, no slowdown, best compatibility, and less battery drain. Also the completely flush look is nice! Only if they made the Passcard 3 in white too!

however if not sticking out of the Lite really means that much to you than the g6 is probally your best bet..
despite my old sav troubles (before they upgraded) and those stupid "parameter fail" errors. I'm sure i'll be first in line for the g6 lite once its released.. because when it comes down to it supercard 3 + g6 lite = damn sexy


Thought so, the G6 has had pretty crap results in reviews when it comes to GBA stuff.

Looks like I'll stick to my trusty EFA 512 for the time being then...

I'm not a big fan of the G6 when it comes to GBA use.

The save system is a little iffy, compression is virtually unusable due to tremendous load times, if you apply the real time save patch it significantly decreases game compatibility. Plus if you don't apply the patch the game will ask you if you want to apply the patch every time you start the game. Very sloppy indeed

I'm sticking with my EZ-Flash 3 for GBA and G6 for DS.

Yes, you would need a pass device, Passcard 3 for example, to stick in the DS game slot.

Sales in China should start next week, one version (probably the one without GBA support) will be around 300 Yuan (~40$), the other one more then 400 Yuan (~50$).

I don't know how they would have managed those prices. But if they indeed turn out to be true I'll scrape together some funds to put towards a 4Gbit G6 Lite, no question.

that's the thing. the rumored prices are probably accurate for the domestic market (China) but foreign capitalists must pay.

it has to use micro sd if it's gonna fit flush. mini sd is far too big.
