Hacking G6 lite save backup trouble

Since I'm limited by the space on my cart, I backup my games by copying the .nds, .ico, .0, .1, and .2 files from the NDS folder of my G6 Lite to a folder on my HD. Just now I wanted to play FFTA2 again, so I moved the whole file set onto my G6 and when I went into the game to load my save, I noticed the saves are much older than I last played (I had at least 60 hours and had beaten the game, these are 40 and incomplete). Anyone know what may have caused this? I copied another game from my HD and it seems to have the most recent save, so did I do something different to affect FFTA2?
