When you startup the G6 Real and then enter the NDS menu what determines the initial order of the games. Because I am starting to get pretty sick of having to order my games manually alphabetically to find the game I want to play.

Yeah I know about the tab thing, I'm just wondering how to make the change stick for the next time I start up my G6.

I use a homebrew called MCTool that will sort your card. The only thing is that I found using it when DSOrganise has stuff in the cache, can sometimes mess stuff up on your card.

You use "A" to sort everything alphabetically.
"B" sorts them alphabetically in reverse.
And don't use "X" or "Y". It might mess up stuff too. So only use "A" and with a clear cache in DSO.

I really don't see why it would be such a big problem to tap the tab, but then remembering the sort order would be a nice feature for future firmware updates.

There's no need for another program to alphabetize your games.
The G6 shows the games in the menu in the order that the games were placed on the cart. It doesn't show them in alphabetical order automatically.

So, to sort your games alphabetically, copy all the games from NDS menu to the root of the cart, then, move the games back to the NDS folder.

The games will now show up in alphabetical order. Sure, this one step more you have to do that most carts don't require. But it's not really a big deal.

Actually, the tip stated elsewhere here works well. Create a tmp folder on your card and drag-move all game files to it. Make sure you sort alphabetically then drag-move them all back to the NDS folder. Since the files don't actually get re-written on the card, only the directory listing, this can be done very quickly and doesn't excessively rewrite the flash file system. You just need to remember to do it each time you add a new game to the card.

I'm still hanging on the G6 team to fix this properly though!
