Hello! I've been away from the WiiU CFW scene I want to install a non-region game to my NAND/USB and I believe I need a CFW to do that and for that reason I got HAXCHI but I'm stuck as to where to go next...

Do I need a fw.img to be able to play the nonregion game?

You don't need a fw.img, just install mocha. I have a guide in my sig.

So I can just run Mocha which will disable sigPatches allowing me to play the nonregion game?

-edit-

Can I run Mocha from the HAXCHI HBL entrypoint?

Thank you! Lastly, when I'm installing the game via 'WUP Installer y Mod' would I have to install the game while the sigPatches have been disabled or can I just install the game while sigPatches are enabled? Silly question I know

Either will work.
Before I installed HAXCHI to my system I had to remove my USB which contained Games, I am wondering if it's fine if I were to insert the USB back into the WiiU w/o issues.
Can I do this?

Thanks again for the help!

-edit-

Just tried it out and it works ;)
Scared of getting bricked

How do I have HaxCHi to autolaucH into a nonsigpatched sysNAND?
Either hold B when booting HaxChi or change the config file on the SD to default to system menu.

Its in the Haxchi folder on sD

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Or better yet. Install CBHC and have it autoboot to system menu

a=fw.img
b=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
default=sysmenu

So all I would have to do is launch Haxchi? OK

It didn't work when I launched Haxchi.. Just booted me into HBL

I'm probably doing something wrong

After changing the config file you have to install haxchi again for the changes to take effect.

I'm stuck at exactly the same place as this. Is fw.img included when you create the HB SD card ? I have the haxchi in the menu using the brain age exploit. When i click on haxchi in the wiiu menu i get the hb channel with the app store and some other apps i added.

The thing is...you don't need the fw.img.

As mentioned above, don't worry about fw.img. This was the old method of applying sigpatches. Not needed with haxchi, as it includes sigpatches already. If you get homebrew channel when clicking haxchi, your config file is not set properly for loading sigpatches. Refer to this post I made a few months ago, explaining what to do. Don't forget to re-install haxchi afterwards for the changes to take effects. https://gbatemp.net/threads/haxchi-config-file-to-autoboot-mocha.543018/#post-8709324

But you don't need to autoboot mocha when you already have haxchi installed.
That's just the name of the thread, which I didn't create. I explain in the post that mocha isn't needed, indeed. Just plain old haxchi is sufficient. But thanks for pointing it out. ;)
