Preferably a clean Windows 7 installation ISO, they're available online as a free download on Microsoft's website. You can *cough cough* deal with the serial later using certain *cough* tools. Alternatively, grab an image with all the latest updates embedded, that's what I usually do. No modified files, no dodgy crap, just a clean Windows installer - all of the world's problems start with "custom" Windows installers.

VTX errors usually have to do with virtualizing hardware setting being disabled in the BIOS.
So what are you doing now then? Running Windows in Oracle VirtualBox?
