Hello everyone!
I have an original US Wii (bought on release day), which I played occasionally and legitimately until yesterday. It was running menu version 4.3U, and I followed the guide here (using Smash Bros) to install HBC and everything else that is included as part of the tutorial. Everything went splendidly, and all of the homebrew apps work fine. I installed NeoGamma R9 b47 as a channel, and installed Darkcorp 1.1 Full.
However, I can't get any game backups to run. I have four US Wii ISOs on my computer - I burned two of them to DVD+Rs, but the Disc channel cannot recognize them, even though Darkcorp installed fine ("Unable to read the disc"). When attempting to boot the DVD backups from NeoGamma (IOS249 Rev 21), I get "DVD Err(1208), Disc ID". I also tried NeoGamma R8, which did the same thing, although gave a slightly differently worded error and error number.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but because I have an original, first-run, launch date Wii, I should be able to run DVD backups.
So then I tried formatting a 16GB SDHC card as WBFS, and installing a couple of the ISOs on it. NeoGamma mounts the SDHC properly and detects the games, but as soon as a game is launched, I get the "An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn the power OFF." message.
Original games still work fine.
here is my output from sysCheck 2.0.1:
I've googled all of my errors and I've searched around for hours trying to get this stuff running, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas?
