Freezes when playing punch out

Hi

I just recently installed USB Loader GX with a USB stick. I installed punch out on the stick. It loads fine but then when I pick the boxer the controller turns off and nothing else happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is your GX loader up to date?

This could be due to the USB drive, which often gives a black screen or fails to boot. It's best to use a FAT32 external hard drive.
Or test your game on the SD card if you can.

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes I think it’s up to date I just downloaded it last week. I used both original Wii controllers and the motion knock offs and the same effect happened. I will check out your links for sure. Thanks again!

There's your issue, use a hard drive with a Y cable, or even loading the game from an SD card might work better than a flash drive.
