I keep randomly getting an error while downloading on my o3ds. It only started when I switched to a 128gb microsd (with SD adaptor). I'm pretty sure it is formatted correctly.p

Edit: It only happens when installing seed. Once it gets past that, it downloads perfectly.

Yeah. It took my friend a bit (I don't have a computer), but he did get it to fat32 with 64kb cluster size.

Quick Litmus: If Windows File Explorer states your card has a capacity of 128 GB, your card is FAKE! Real 128 GB cards and flash memory will show up around 119 GB or 120 GB.

Thorough Check: Copy everything off the card. Check if your card is fake using h2testw. Do not assume it's real because you think it is or that it appears real. Doesn't matter if you bought it online or in store; CHECK ANYWAY BECAUSE YOUR 3DS SETUP DEPENDS ON A GOOD CARD (sorry, lots of people skip this step thinking it's unnecessary. Don't be one of the uncool kids who do this). Do a quick and dirty 5 GB (ap. 5000 MB) write and verify; this catches most fakes as nearly all of them are about 4 GB in actual size. If it passes the 5 GB test, do a second test that writes and verify the entire card.

If everything checks out in h2testw, reformat the card again with guiformat if you're friend has a Windows computer. You may have to format it with Windows File Explorer as ExFAT or NTFS before guiformat allows you to format it in FAT32 + 64 KB cluster.

If freeShop still crashes on you after all that, redo everything in FAT32 + 32 KB cluster.
