You should be able to run it even if you are a bit under minimum specs, so look into it a bit. However, let's just be honest here, base game only, it's like 70-80GBs to download (meaning it won't finish even in a month of 24/7 downloading for people like me who have crap internet) and even if you do get it and can play, base game is like a demo of sorts... sure you can do a fair bit of stuff, but it's unbalanced and they are doing this just to get more people who will potentially buy extra stuff trying to balance the dumb game

I am still running on integrated graphics (Intel HD 4000) and I have like 20 GB free left... I really need to upgrade my desktop pc first. This game was on my watch list for a while but now that blizz gave it for free I wll save for a new graphics card and also a new hdd to migrate my steam library.

I know what you mean, lately HumbleBundle has like 30 tabs or crap until the download button, really annoying! It used to be great, now it's a pain to navigate, I'll often just claim stuff without redeeming now because I don't feel like scrolling through that long of a page! And even the ads/tabs they put on there about discounts and whatnot aren't even that good, like 10-20% is nothing compared to discounts you get elsewhere...

I'm...pretty amazed by this. AFAIK this is the first time outcast second contact is even mentioned on humble: never been in a bundle, let alone a giveaway. It's not a promotion for an upcoming game (rather the inverse: this is the remake of a remastered 1997 game), and not even a cheap game to begin with (even with current -70% discount it's still 10 bucks on steam).

More so: I had it on my wishlist until very recently. And I only removed it because it doesn't like linux/proton very much. But now that it's free, I'm more inclined to tinker with it to see if I can get it to work.

Like with other GameSessions freebies, you need an account then you play through a mini-client. I don't get them since it's too much trouble having to download before it expires then play for 5 mins, especially since I have shit internet so a game like SE3 would take a full day, so can't really help you there, but do try and get it and if it's too much of a pain for you, just bail
