Chrome OS is based on Gento, which is based on the Linux kernel. By voting for Chrome OS or "Linux" you're picking both regardless.

People consider different things useful and useless. Some people just need a web browser, and some people need a lot more than that. Some people don't need the extra bloat (through said person's perspective) if they're just gonna be watching YouTube or browsing reddit.chrome is literally useless.. its literally just a web browser
Ewww ChromeOs sucksI'm an utter noob, but.....
Rather than having linux load on a switch is it possible to get Chrome OS installed? It is lighter and would run android apps natively. Then i wouldn;t need to buy a gaming chromebox after the switch as well.
Thoughts?
"openendedness" its not even a word and you used it perfectly. how about that.

It's funny you say that, Because the entire Chromebook community keeps installing Linux on their Chromebooks because it simply isn't as limited.I'm an utter noob, but.....

Their FAQ says otherwise:Anbox is not compatibe with everything yet, it's still in alpha @Seriel

You can run Chrome on Linux, and you can run Android apps on Linux, so I fail to see an advantage.
All I know is that it's possible, one of the tweets (The one showing Dolphin running on switch) was using Anboxi was not able to install anbox on the switch , is there any news to it ? it tells me it dont support aarch64
One question, why would you want to run chrome OS on the switch?
Already answered that, look at page oneOne question, why would you want to run linux on the switch?
