I've noticed a weird glitch with Flashme.

To do it, you have to set your DS to Auto mode (To boot directly to Slot-1 instead of DS menu)
Then you have to put your DS on charge.

Now, turn on your DS. If your brightness isn't to the max, the DS will show highest brightness settings, then once it loads Slot-1, it will return to what you have set.
It only works if you have Auto mode enabled and are charging the DS.
I've tried with Manual mode and it didn't happen. Then I tried in Auto mode with DS not charging and it didn't happen.

I've noticed that too; I always have my DSL on auto mode and brightness is usually 1 or 2. That brief 'blinding' flash of fullbright white screens is a bit annoying but I didn't realize it was a glitch, I just assumed that's the way it was.

I used the Flashme to remove the H&S screens, and assumed that the screens flashed on full bright when it was bypassing the sceens. Ah well.

Yeah, mine does that too. It's pretty annoying, but I never realized it happens when you're charging it. I thought it was just a random glitch.

on Flashmev8a theres a useful glitch that i found..:

- autoboots the slot-1 without tapping the touchscreen.. and most of it.. it still shows the Nintendo DS welcome animation. you'll notice that theres no Health Warning text on lower screen:

how?

i tried it on NoStealth-NoAuto Flashme

- from DS menu... make sure to set on DS firmware to autoboot slot-1
- open DS battery compartment and remove the battery then place it again.
- remove any flashcart or any cartridges
- it will ask you to reconfigure anything (configure it)
- wait.. now when youre going to set your birthday. Turn it OFF
- place your flashcart and turn on your DS

youll see the amazing Nintendo DS welcome animation while it autoboot the slot1 automatically and without the health screen text on lower screen and not tapping it to skip it.

it also autoboot GBA automatically, if you dont have cart on slot-1

----

i dunno if you know this or not.. but anyway, just sharing

Not flashme:
It is your slot 1 flashcart that decides the brightness in many flashcarts now.

If it flashes bright it is just your normal firmware setting - that needs to be on for that brief moment before booting the flashcarts.

Pretty much sure it is not linked to FlashMe at all.

And in the same situation without flashme, it doesn't happen...

Yet you didn't even try.
My Cyclo is constantly on the lowest brightness, and so is my DS' firmware.
