Flame Red 3DS Avalible on Star Fox 3D Launch

Back in July, Nintendo released a flare red 3DS model along with Star Fox 64 3D in Japan. Nintendo of America is following the same marketing plan.

They announced a flare red Nintendo 3DS, which will retail for $169.99. It comes out on September 9, the same day Star Fox 64 3D and its new tilt controls debut in North America.

If color doesn’t matter to you, Walmart is selling Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black 3DS units for $169.99 now. These units are still eligible for the 20 free games from the Nintendo ambassador program as long as you log on the eShop before 11:59PM (EST) on Thursday, August 11.

Great, even more of a reason for me to regret buying the 3DS early. Thanks Nintendo.

Now those still waiting have an ultimatum: Buy it before the 11th and get the 20 games or wait and get the cooler newer color. Hmmm

i prefer my Auqa Blue 3DS, though i know a few people who are holding out for a red.
the more colors the better i guess.

It was pretty obvious that there will be different colours released later on. If you wanted a different colour, should have just waited?

Aqua Blue is still my favourite. Too bad amazon was selling it for £20 more than the black one back when I bought it lol. So got the Black one instead

I totally agree. Cosmo Black is kinda bland and I wasn't a fan of the Aqua Blue. Doesn't really matter though seeing as it's just a color.

On walmarts website the 169.99 is listed as a preorder I'm not sure about in stores. The red is real nice.

I personally like my Aqua Blue enough

Rather use that extra $170 on games or into my 'Vita fund' instead of getting another 3DS.

Still, a good reason for non-owners to get one. Red is fiery!

$170 looks like a great price for the 3ds but the problem is the games... remoteness is a distant thing

Yes but for instance, a person has a Blue Ford Falcon and then about 8 months later they decide to sell it and buy a Red Ford Falcon. with the 3DS they usually lose money in the process..
