Hacking Fixing to mod my nintendo switch

About to order the things i need to mod my older model switch, i already checked if it was patched or not and it i
s unpatched im pretty sure i have a launch switch, so im good there! i am going to order An RCM loader that comes with a jig and maybe an extra sd card for this operation also.
The main thing im wanting to do with my modded switch is play emulators and such (Snes n64 sega cd and ETC) not trying to play pirated games or any of that mess. Just emulating old games, i am just trying to figure out what all i need to order, Also if i get another switch later on will i be able to go online with that switch? will modding this one effect any other switches i buy or do i just not do anything that involves online with my modded switch? Also i am sitting on the system asking me for a system update right now, should i avoid that? i dont want anything to happen to where i cant mod it, but i think i read somewhere that unpatched systems should be able to be modded no matter what, am i right on that?

If your Switch is exploitable it doesn't matter what firmware version you're on, so feel free to update.

No, it will not effect any other switch you may purchase...

Don't go online unless you want to get banned. There are safe(er) ways to go online to avoid bans (applying incognito, using 90dns) but playing online games or anything involving communication with Nintendo servers is an absolute no go.

Of course. I assume that's what everyone does now lol. I feel like the only people using CFW on sysMMC are those who have been banned already and just don't care.
