Hacking First time "hacking" a DS

Ok so this is the first time I have tried to hack a DS. I'm getting a 3DS and I don't know what Flash cart to get.

What is "the best" one to get?

Can I Play my GBA/DS/DSi games on it?

Chose from the green ones in the 3DS column. No you won't be able to play DSi games on it (unless you get a Cyclo DS ievo, but that's really not worth it). You're best option is probably an AK2i or R4i Gold (from the right place) as they're cheap. Although these won't be able to play GBA games, and if you REALLY want that feature then you'd have to go with one of the more expensive carts (although I can't remember which one off the top of my head, sorry).

Flash cards aren't quite hacking.
But I would get Acekard 2i, you need an EZ-Flash 3-in-1 to play GBA roms with a certain application.

For the 3DS and DSi the only way to play GBA games is with a Supercard DStwo.
It's the best card imo.

Ok after after looking up the R4i Gold there were many sites and I want to know if anyone can pint me to their official site.

DSTWO - if you want the very best you can get right now with the most options and GBA emulation

AK2i - if you don't care about extras and just want a high quality flashcart for playing DS backups

Don't buy generic cards or knockoffs just to save a few bucks. Stick to AK and DSTWO.

Check the site you buy it from to see if it's "pre-updated" to a number higher than 2.1. If it's not (but most of them should be by now), you'll need a DS Lite or Phat to upgrade the Acekard's firmware.
