Yeah... no... they didn't. Hence my complete confusion. Literally everything is wrong with that guy's statement.

WoW, I'm suprised you actually provided a study that holds up, thank-you I always thought piracy was a smaller issue then everyone let on, but this proves it with numbers, I'll make sure to back this up it'll come in handy latter I'm sure lol

    Interesting thanks for linking that.

However it doesn't say piracy boosts sales like @The Real Jdbye was claiming. It says that there is no statistical analysis showing an impact in this study, however that doesn't mean there is no impact. But they did see an impact with recent top films which they estimated lost 5 percent of sales due to piracy.

Also the study looks at movies and piracy could have more of an impact on games.

I don't understand, why would you need to play dumped eShop games, when eShop games get installed legitimately to the home menu?

What kind of question is that? Soon.

Maybe because there are many, many games that were released as digital only?

Well, since the Switch eshop games seem to include more data. It's possible this isn't just like CIAs.

Well installing updates I can understand, but dumped eShop games?
    That's blatantly asking for piracy.

This is a thread about pirated dump. Some people want to play pirated dumps. Now they can play pirated cartridge dumps, Believ3r was asking how long until he can play pirated eShop dump.

Yooka laylee is a Great Game, i own the disc version for PS4 and Xbox one but because there is no cartridge version for switch I don’t own it for the switch...I never pay money for a download version, so i hope there is a way to use/install nsp files on the switch soon. If the developer of yooka laylee decide to reales a cartridge version of yooka laylee I will buy the cartridge.

In my opinion download should be cheaper than cartridges or discs because we need to buy an SD or HDD but The Nintendo switch doesn’t support HDDs and the games are mostly more expensive than a cartridge version.

I’m not a pirate but I also doesn’t support the expensive downloads. It’s like you would go shopping and they would telling you “you need an SD Card to buy this game”. It’s just cheaper for Nintendo and they can make more money with it.

Please don't change this thread into another piracy discussion...

Well, a banned switch console cannot install from eShop, it could be a solution to "download" your already owned games.

This is exactly why I don't like digitally owning games. You only really "own" it so long as there is a way to download it again and they allow you to do so.

Yeah, that's why I want to backup them and put on my hard disk at home.

You did read the license right? Ok nobody does.. but essentially when you download a game you don't 'own' it at all. You agree to licensing it to play under their terms. If you break these terms Nintendo are within their legal right to revoke this. Morally this isn't brilliant but is not any different from Sony or Microsoft. So any claim to download a game you've 'paid' for comes under the terms. If you've broken them then you're pirating. Simple. Rubbish but simple .

    Oh man... Ninja'd

Right, it's like with all digital bought Licenses... You buy the right to USE but not to own the product. The product is still owned by the company that allows you to use their product under their license. As stated in so many ToS'
Nintendo is super duper strict about their ToS
