I hope this is the right place to be putting this thread, if its not, could a moderator move it?

jason hannon has claimed that he has made the first DSi homebrew via the sd card slot, it looks pretty promising!

look at it here: http://dsibrew.zxq.net/sd_hack.html

Take that yasu! lol

Yayz. (not exactly sure how this means yasu got pwned though)

Edit: This information is half-way prince proved.

The thing i like about this guys is, he actually showed that there was not a flashcard, yasu didn't.

What do you have against Yasu? There's tons of improvements in the DS community that can be accredited to him. Seriously, lay off.

Meh. I'm still not convinced. A rag-tag site with a bunch of random videos and pictures doesn't exactly look convincing, even with the videos showing no flashcart and whatever.

He didn't have time to fix his camera date

Also he could easily code something that boots with a regular flash card and works after removing the slot-1 flash card

I call bullshit.

This guy shows you that there isn't a flashcart in the DS, but he doesn't show how he loads the program. You can boot up a flashcart, run a homebrew app and then remove the flashcart while the program is still running. Nothing this guy did suggests he actually managed to "hack" the DSi.

Edit: Damn, too slow.

Looks fake.

I doubt it's real. I'll be surprised if it is, though.

Yes, it could be fake, and i bet it is.
i wish he would show him booting it, i was looking at some old logs today (links, posts, etc), and it says something about him making a " .bin " file, if this is true, all he needs know is the common key.

.....in your dreams dude......
All the best, c0d3wiz

I think that loopy MAY have told Yasu the key. I'm sure he told DarkFader as well...

I doubt this is an "actuall" hack...
I can do this with may homebrews on my DSi, just open them with the flashcard, take the flashcard out and they still run.

Code a homebrew program that loads a few things into ram (in this case, text)
run it on a flashcard
pull the flashcard out

i just got done talking to him on IRC, heres the log:

c0d3wiz: so how did you do it?

flipnoteman12: sd card

c0d3wiz: well i know that, i meant, how did you hack the sd card slot?

flipnoteman12: i cannot tell exactly how i did this at this time, what i can tell you is it had something to do with linux.
..........
.................
....

What did he mean by linux? ds linux ported for the dsi?
because ds linux can list all devises hooked up to the ds, (e.g., slot-2), so maybe if he got ds linux working on the dsi it listed the sd port?
