I think it was the Sega Saturn I bought 8 years ago, I modded it to hell and back but I didn't play it as much as I would have liked because of the wonky laser (I also bought the original steering wheel).

Don't get me wrong, I play since the 1990s and I started with a Commodore 64, but it wasn't retro back then, sure it was not cutting edge anymore but still current, games were still being made and you could buy them in computer stores.

In fact, I remember one day I had £ 25,000 burning in my pocket and I went home with Turrican 2, one of the best C64 games ever made.

The first videogame ever I think it was Out Run in a bar on a village in the middle of nowhere, it was an upright cabinet so they had to hold me up in order to be able to reach the steering wheel.

Can't remember which one, but for sure a Game & Watch or similar clone. Then still focusing on consoles, the GameBoy. If we add any device/machine, then Arcades at bars, probably Double Dragon or Black Tiger.

My first gaming experience on a retro console was the Atari 7800. The NES was 3-4 years old here in the States, and all I wanted for Christmas was a Nintendo, as I called it. My Mom got me an Atari instead, but I was OK with that for a couple of years, before I actually got the NES. While I liked the Atari, the NES was the first video game console that I loved. I still play some games on it to this day. Not the original console that I got, mind you, but a used one I got off of eBay.
