Heh, I remember in 2005 that my blue phat DS was the only handheld my mother bought for me. Along with 3 DS games which I remember is that I played Mario Kart DS first, Sonic Rush, then Mario & Luigi PIT

Ace Attorney: Justice for All. I forget why, but I didn't start by playing the first game. The trial case for JA gave me a really great impression of the game which made me stay with the series until now. I've been on the last case of JA for sometime now, though. I dislike recycled characters.

Besides the Metriod Prime demo, my first game was Super Mario 64 DS. I still play it to this day!

Though as for favorite game, would have to be ffta2, put in 110 hours into it completing about 80% of it.
