Uhh, isn't this an oldschool NES title?

...Yes?

I don't care anymore.
Hey, remakes aren't bad.
But then again, this one probably will be.
Reviews have been generally negative.

no way man this game is gonna be amazing better graphics plus a a fire emblem i didnt get to play and i could care less for some reviews, lately good games have been getting bad ratings and fire emblem is the besttt lol

The game is archaic, if you're new to the series, and can't stand the GBA gamestyles not in the game. But then again, this is virtually a GBA remake of the original, with better graphics. Many of the complaints are rather sad--they feel the graphics look bad, and that that means the game is therefore horrid by relation. They don't seem to realize that this is more a slightly realistic version of the GBA animations, completely with over-the-top flips and whatnots the new generation wants.

yes true true i just can't seem to understand why a lot of people hate remakes for games especially this old well we cant keep it the same and never translate it or we can translate it and give it better graphics and that makes people hate it

Damn!! too much games this vacations, i'll be spending a lot o my free time with my DS. Finally i managed to get the game i want to get out of the work and check it. PoP the Fallen King look nice too.

Well, the gameplay's been improved a little, and some nice new features have been added, but I still really dislike the graphics a lot.
Also, the first fire emblem had a really weak story and an uninteresting cast, which is still the same here.

I'm all for translating games, but some things can't be improved by just upgrading the graphics.

I only played the Prologue, nice gameplay it's no a VP: Toga wo seumono and is a NES's remake so maybe we can feel the gameplay oldie, but look enough to waste everysingle minute it takes playing. I'm gonna play it after finish soma bringer.

i never played a fire emblem game though i heard a lot about im more excited about this than cronao triger (which i did not like)

That's the fault of an update remake, rather than a remake remake. Even the script, save the newly added conversations, is directly lifted from the original game. Thus one of the largest reasons why many will likely feel this game is crap--it's because you're playing the original game with an updated engine (if you can call it that :E) and new graphics. Its poor and boring level design, stiff atmosphere, and other annoying factors that were in the original were mostly all carried over. Its definitely a fan's version of the original game. That said, it's still an okay game.

I hope that they remake at least Fire Emblem Gaiden. Many people seem to hate it, but I'm a fan of it. It's the black sheep of the series--and it could be a great game with some final polish added to it.

It's Chrono Trigger, mate.

Fire Emblem is a wonderful game, especially if you like TRPGs and Chrono Trigger is a nice game too!

ITT: people like graphics more then gameplay now.

At least its a game that actually requires you to think.
