If it's a JRPG on the iPhone, I imagine it'll be like FF 1/2/3/4
It's not gonna be 3D, so comparing it to 13 is just stupid.

Chaos Rings is a Square Enix RPG if you want something a little more traditionally turn based. I wasn't a big fan myself but it'll appeal to some people.

As for SRPG games (which I'm assuming is what you're looking for), you may just want to jailbreak it and use emulators. Can't think of any SRPG games off the top of my head that are iPhone specific.

Not a SRPG but Puzzle Quest is always worth it. The iPhone version is the worst of all the consoles but it's still Puzzle Quest.

Rebirth of fortune it's kinda like ff tactics. Mecho wars and Battle of wesnoth also come to mind. I also think sega ported shining force too.
