finding correct game for save file

Backed up saves from some gba games five years ago and can't recall what game they are. The only clue is the filename.

MARIO_LUIGIU_A88E00.sav
SUPER_MARIOD_AX4E01.sav

Looking for any help, I used GBA Backup Tool

Well the first one is clearly Mario & Luigi SuperStar Saga. Not sure about the other. If there were some GBC saves mixed in it could be Super Mario Bros Deluxe.

it was all gba, so unsure. May be super mario world

It appears the names it picks are based on the internal serials of the game (which vary from region to region, though not always revision to revision).

Would appear then to be the USA version of it.

The higher number one appears to be a later revision (haven't looked to see what goes -- could be bug fixes, could be censorship, could be the wii u version with built in ereader stuff...). Saves may or may not cross region barriers (always worth a try) but v1.0 to v1.1 tends to still work just fine.

It would've been fun! Better than mixing and matching each save with a game until it loads.

We're now 2/2 on matching saves with their game, thanks to the both of you for helping out.
