Not really, the xbox one can emulate the 360 and its not much more powerful cpu wise. Not only does it work for xbox, but the games usually run much better than original hardware. Its just not very easy to do, but with low level access its possible. Dont think of pc emulators, they have a ton of overhead and not even driver level optimization. No, will never happen.
WiiU is PowerPC and Switch is ARM64.
You'll need a multiple of the WiiUs performance to emulate it at a reasonable speed.

The xbox one doesn't emulate the 360.
Microsoft recompiles all binaries for x86 architecture.
That's why you have to download the games even
after putting your 360 gamedisc in the drive.
Sorry, i'm not trying to offend you.
But you don't seem to understand how emulation works.
Yes its still emulation though

Sure they are cheating and recompiling, but its still emulation. They arent exactly porting the games to the one either, so Ill call it emulation with an *. Somebody could do the same for the switch, but I doubt anybody will go that far.No it's not.
They are not properly emulating the powerpc architecture.
Phil spencer calls it [emulation] ...i guess you noticed the bracklets?
They ported the x360 framework to xbox one and the x86 architecture.
So they are "emulating" the functions of the system.
But they are not actually translating cpu calls on the fly from powerpc to x86.
That's what an actual emulation would do.
And still: you have to download the recompiled parts for every game you play.
A real emulation won't need that.

I agree that it wont happen on switch, but its still emulation on the xbox one. The games still aren't running natively on the one so its still emulation. There is still reproduction of the xbox 360 going on, its still emulation. No, recompiling is no emulation.
It won't happen for WiiU -> Switch
To recompile anything, you'll need atleast the sourcecode.

I can agree with that.Okay, let's come to an compromise here:
xbox one performs a "framework emulation" to play the recompiled games.
Since we are unable to port the WiiU framework to switch and unable to recompile the games,
this is no option for us.
Therefore we'll need a full "hardware emulation". But that wont happen either.
Because the Tegra is to weak for a full hardware emulation.
Um...SNES already works on 5.1...i've been playing Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong Country and UMK3 a lot on it...granted, it's the Retroarch version, but it still works
Ahem... Allow me to express my gratitude.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...
YES!
Anyways... I just want snes games on the go. A bad sd reader fucked my 3ds over and I lost the charger. I lost a number of games and saves... But with the Switch I'm gonnago a different path. Homebrew only. SNES9x is all I need!
and maybe a nice file browser too. And themes maybe.
Careful!
Your Switch will die too soon with so much fun on it!
