I have already pre-ordered the Asian variant of Final Fantasy X/X2, in order to get both on a physical cartridge, instead of physical for X and digital download, for X2. This is the best way to get this game, I feel. When it comes to XII however, I am not sure which to get. I have tried looking to no avail, but has it been 100% confirmed, that the North American variant of XII, will contain Japanese language option? Regardless of which region you get this game from, it comes solely on a physical cartridge, so I am good there, but am really wanting to make sure I get the option to have Japanese language option, with english subtitles. If the North American variant has this, then I will get this game local and help support that way, since I'm not for X, but if not, I may have to get Asian/Japanese for this game, too? I understand the cover art for the Japanese XII is far superior and many are wanting to get that region, just for the cover art alone. While I do agree it does look better than the NA cover art, I am not sure it is worth the extra cost and wait time to get it, instead of my local region, unless anything else is different from it? Does anyone know if the Asian/Japanese FFXII contains anything the NA version doesn't, that may warrant a purchase from that region, instead of my own?

Just hoping to make the best purchase, the first time around, so I don't waste any of my time, or money. Getting X in Asian was a no brainer, once they stated both games are on a physical cart, but it doesn't seem so cut and dry for XII, in terms of what version I should get.

Any info, or insight one can share, would be most appreciated!

Wow, 145 views and nearly 3 days later and nothing? No one has a clue about any details on the region differences of FFXII?

You should look at the at PSX/PC counterparts to get your answers. The majority of switch users here are entitled pirates and to them it doesn't matter, at best they can just replace voice files if it matters.

As for general info the only games that ever had dual audio was FFX/X-2, FFXII THE ZODIAC AGE and FFXIII trilogy for PC/PS3 (HK/Asian(?) version). And since physical releases are still a thing you MOST likely WON'T get the option for dual audio at all. Not even KH games have dual audio. SE are very cheeky when it comes to that unless it's PC, because it's easier to ship.

Ah, ok then. I really appreciate the time you spent in replying, so thank you. Disappointing to say the least, if this is truly the case. Perhaps they will have a VO pack that I can download, for Japanese language, like they did with World of Final Fantasy on the Vita.

X-2 is awful so that would have been better skipped TBH.

So I keep hearing, but figured as a collector, if I am going to pay for it, might as well get the physical for that too. I can't avoid getting X-2 either way and at least with the Asian release, it can be resold/traded and not take up any space on my memory card/nand.
