i had forgotten how difficult FFT was until I started playing it again a few months ago... like 5 battles in and got a game over, was NOT expecting that. Never beat FFT though, didn't have the time when it first came out even though I loved it - played the crap out of FFTA though. Was thinking about dusting off FFT again (for real this time

) but at this point I'm waiting for A2. Very big fan of the "Cracktics" line, been waiting for this and AdvanceWarsDS ever since the DS came out. Got my AW hookup a long time ago and now this is finally coming... woohoo!

I'm so glad they didn't try to make it 3D, the 2D in this game looks amazing.

EDIT: They should've made Kingdom Hearts 2D as well. It looks good in 3D right now... for a DS game. I wish it was more TWEWY or something though.

Making a 3D FFTA will result in tragedy like Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
Really, that game sucks, I know alot of people said 3D CVs sucks, but I never imagined it would be THAT suck

Back on topic: 3D Tactics should never happen, it's perfect this way

Righto. It should and never will happen.
*Eye-ing those shovel-ware games developers.*

Anyway, I feel that only minimal 3D effects should be in any tactics game. Maybe only implement 3D effect for summoning or devastating spells. Minimal, I said.

Well, some little 3D effects, nothing too big, or flashy could be great for games like this.....Summonings, lightning, fire, ice and wind spells, some disaster effects, it would look very good (remember Golden Sun)..

Wow. I just looked through FFTA2 homepage and there's this Green Mage new class for the Viera race. Apparently they can only cast support and crippling magics.

Is that a first for the Final Fantasy game?

That sounds kind of like FFT's oracle class...

Most or all FF have had support and crippling magic but from the classic FF's they were used most as white magics, some used as black but since FFXII came along all the support and enemy stat effecting magics were all put into green magic class

so in other words no

oops! forgot about that Oracle Class in FFT

gamespot's usual review/judgement of 7.0 is not surprising whatsoever. IGN however, giving it 9.0 now that's surprising

I think the first time green magics were ever really given the classification as green was in FFXII.

Green magic I think was first 'officially' seperated into its own support group from black and white magic in FFXII and making a Green Mage class seems the next logical progression. *shrug*

Arcane magic, I think, makes its first appearance as its own group in XII too
