Gaming Final Fantasy Remakes for DS

I already have 5 and 6 on the GBA, but sadly I would probably douple dip at least 5 since I'd love to see all the classes looks on 3d, and will probably double dip 6 if they include voice acting as well...

I would think that if they did 5 and 6 they would do it like 4-start from scratch like redesigning it, make it 3D, probably add new jobs/abilities (mainly for 5 maybe for 6 Sabin's Blitzes), and add Voice Acting/CG/FMV

If they do remake 6 I want to use the touch screen for blitzes!

No offense, but that probably wouldn't be such a good idea. I'm all for 5, 6, and CT on DS. AND no one's mentioned Mario RPG. What do you think about the Dragon Quest 4 DS graphics engine for Mario RPG DS? Diagonally tilted view, of course.

hey im all for a remake of the SNES Super Mario RPG but seeing you have the the Paper Mario series and now on the Wii's Virtual Console they already have it (Super Mario RPG) in their library I don't really seeing it happening.

So its agreed, 5 and 6 (hooray FFVI!) are likely and we're all praying from the bottom of our squishy mortal souls that CT will soon be made playable on something smaller than a laptop computer.

Didnt they already try things with resurrecting CT already though? Wasnt it made into a terrible (and suspiciously DBZ-looking) anime and an equally terrible sequel on the PSX?

Maybe due to those they forgot about the simple perfection that is the original Chrono Trigger.

se needs income to support newer games, so they make remakes and that money goes towards new games like ff13
as long as newer more expensive games come out, we will most likely see remakes

FFVII won't be on DS. If they do remake it, it'll probably be for the PSP

since seeing that tech demo ages ago and FFVII:AC a lot of people (fanboys/fangirls) want to see FFVII done in that way so its either PSP or the PS3

hmmm........ yeah, FFVII:AC came with the latest graphics, bringing it to NDS might dislike some people...

That said, it could be likely though they've already (in a sense) brought the old games to the current generation through GBA, remaking them on the DS would likely piss off a good number of people. Though, if they had some sort of slot-in feature to interact with the GBA cart, that may ease the pain for those of whom that actually pay.

They could remake all of these games, but honestly would they? It would be infinitely easier to take the data and throw it on the Virtual Console and get money for it that way instead of redoing an entire game in 3D and having it potentially fail. Which, given Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger, is unlikely.

I think they should stop doing Final Fantasy on the DS unless they are going to do it right:

Well first it wasn't given a 6 it was given an average of like 7 because of 2 things its random battles and its lack of save points

other than that revenant wings system was broken and FF:Ring of Fates AI was just plain dumb
