So I decided to bite the bullet and went ahead to upgrade using my US region copy of FIFA 18...I can confirm that unfortunately it has and requires the 3.0.1 update...so stay away from it if you still want to wait for homebrews!!

I preordered it and have been playing it since yesterday. It's good - just made it to Division 8 after a 2-2 draw with Ajax.
