I just got the game today, and totally unsuspected it asks me for what difficulty I want to play on. I'm kinda confused because from what I remember the first one didn't ask me to do this, so I have to ask you guys what difficulty you chose :\

I'm thinking of going on Hard, but really have no idea.

Yeah Normal!!

After playing on normal I really can't see why I would want to play on hard.
Why is that?

I find that the difficulty is really quite perfect (for me at least) on normal. I believe hard would be fairly challenging. Would be good if hard made the loot better or something.

Normal is too easy.

I want to restart on hard, but I don't want to put the 20+ hours of work to waste

I don't think i've lost a mission yet, which is very sad considering that FFT on playstation was a great and challenging game.

^ that's likely to be because you're not doing enough of the side missions

that or.... well...

I also lost a few and yea i don't do side missions XD,some are bit easy so it is normal for me

I've been playing on Hard for 20 hours, and it really feels like the game actually has Easy/Normal instead of Normal/Hard. So far Hard totally feels like Normal.

Well, I'm kinda overleveled because I'm trying to get all clan privileges available, and these General and joint clan trials have 5 privileges per 5 titles. Those 10 EXP per battle added up.

Hard mode makes the enemies attack and healing power 150%. I suggest you start with Normal.

lol...
How hard is a game if the enemies don't attack?
I'm just messing with you.

Anyways... I just got my PSP so I'm playing FFT War of the Lions. Waiting to play FFTA2 till I beat that one... so I can't wait =D

(And yes, I have nothing on topic to contribute... Sorry)

Seriously, +50% is kinda underbuffed to be called "Hard".
+100% could have made it hard; it would naturally filter out players who are not good enough, because the tutorial stage with the bird doing twice damage is kinda ownage. (But if you know what you're doing, receiving +100% damage in tutorial stage isn't gonna make any difference)

Sometimes enemies pull a smart move, like when they absorb a certain element, they move next to player's characters and cast that magic to damage and heal at the same time.

Or enemy AI can be abused. Like, Werewolf is mostly concerned about removing buffs on ally characters than attacking. If you have one of your fast characters to cast a buff every turn, Werewolf is gonna keep using roar. As long as your speed is higher than werewolf's, you can like perma-disable one enemy from battle.
