Ok i looked at a FAQ, and it said i will get smoked by the Dark Elf for the first battle, and then edward saves the day, but i get smoked, and it's game over....any help?

Start grinding...it's always a good thing to have highly leveled characters.

i was SUPPOSE to lose to advance the story, but when i do, it games over me, so why don't you explain why i would need to grind

Did you get the whisperweed from Edward?

you 1st need to go talk to Edward(in the castle) and get the item (most people for get to do that)
go to the area with the WEEK NON-METAL EQ
and put you good METAL eq back on
after edward starts to playing the harp

You can put your Metal Equipment back on? Please elaborate.
I personally think the boss would be too easy with metal equip.

What you need to do is, Get the Whisperweed from Edward (He is in the Castle tower) then enter the cave using non-metal items and make your way to the Dark Elf on the bottom floor, he will kill you in one move, then (assuming you have the Whisperweed) he will be weakened and you will have a chance to change your equipment back to your kick-ass metal gear, at which point you kick the elf's ass.

Easy.

Also, you can also use Tellah to cast weak on dark elf, and dead in 1 hit. At least that worked on the SNES version.

you should start following the guide completely if not youll miss lots of stuff- items augments etc
