Hacking FF IV (WiiWare) Wont Install

The wii only reboots itself when I hit start. im on 3.3E and i have freethewads'd it. IOS38 (rev12). I'm not sure what to do from here on.

i bought the game after i seen if it was any good with the wad. $8.00 is a small price to pay and most ppl don't pirate so the game will do fine.
most wiiware/vc is cheap no need to pirate it. DLC on the other hand...

hey everyone. same problem with the DLC WAD here, but i think i may have a bigger problem.
the game WAD installed fine and so has the megaman DLC from a while back

i have tried installing IOS 55 and IOS 53. both return errors in WAD manager
im 4.0U with cios rev8 installed and when trying to install the new rev13 i get error. im using WAD manager 1.21
i think i missed some recent wii developments after 4.0U was released, so if ANYONE can shoot me a PM for a little help i will appreciate it a lot.
i don't want to keep installing shit i don't really understand/need.

I've seen 2 version of the DLC pack both with exact same size but different CRC checksum. Maybe one is corrupted?

The one that works for me has checksum of E45FD614, the other one is 6D0BDC65 but I didn't try it.

Thanks to you all i finally installed the game on my pal wii and using gecko to play it but i've an 2011 error when i try to install the dls, i think it's because i have a ticket problem so to clean up the wii i try to use anytitle deleter but where can i found a list o fregion code because JDQ5, JLAL, JDQ6 aren't really speaky if you know what i mean...

1st GOOGLE - Final.Fantasy.IV.The.After.Years.USA.WiiWare.DLC.Complete.Wii-OneUp.rar
Thats for ALL THE DLC (install this .WAD 1st ) itll show up in The WIIs Internal MEMORY as a SAVE FILE

2nd GOOGLE - Final.Fantasy.IV.The.After.Years.USA.WiiWare.Wii-OneUp.rar
Thats The ACTUAL GAME (install This .WAD second ) This will show up On Your Main Wii Menu
(steps one and two are litterally the 2nd and sub 2nd links when searching on Google)

3rd- HAVE FUN !

u could i got mine from private trackers but i guess i have a ios problem so i have those both on HD but i choose to dl and use those from other sources
the FFIV ALL DLC from demenoid
the FFIV Main Game from wehackwii.pbworks

and those worked perfectly for me

sorry people but i have no idea what i am missing here...

ive tried deleting the game WAD and installing the DLC WAD first then reinstalling the game WAD with WADmanager 1.21

-2011 error for the DLC

i have cIOS rev8 installed and HBC beta 8.

is it possible i need newer versions installed to use this DLC?
there must be some IOS i need or something!

any help appreciated.

i found THIS site explaining problems with WADmanager if it was installed before updating to 4.0. i need to downgrade my IOS?

For anyone that uses Gecko to boot the game, does the game exit properly? Whenever I run the game through Gecko, if I use the home button to select return to menu, it'll just hangs at black screen and I have to power down the Wii manually.

I installed the DLC wad and I see a save file that is 43 blocks which i can only assume is all the DLC content... how do i use it though?

When I load up FFiV The After years and go to select story the only one that appears is Rydia (which I had paid for in the first place). How do i get the other stories to show up in the list?

The DLC installation was successful, I guess I just don't know how to use it.

I deleted the rydias story that I had already purchased with AnyTitleDeleter and then reinstalled it and it worked!

If im not mistaken you have to delete the save file that had the content you bought AND delete the DLC Save file that you Installed VIA wad. Reset the Wii and then RE-Install the DLC wad. Once that is done start game and you should have all the DLC accessable.

If for some reason that doesnt work . which it should DELETE Both the DLC SAVE FILES AND THE FF IV GAME wad and then reinstall the DLC WAD 1st and the Game WAD second then start the game. which should then work fine with all DLC accessable. Worked for me when i did it.

i have my problem almost solved.

using the instructions from HERE i downgraded and switched to WAD manager 1.3
i've got the game WAD installed and the DLC WAD installed with no errors now, but the save from before the DLC was installed won't work anymore

the main story is epically short anyway so just start over, though i think the save should work and you didn't need to downgrade... i'm on 4.0u and it works fine.
