Fc26 - the software closed because an error occurred

Hi i have successfully installed fc26 without any errors
The game appears on my modified switch and it launches

I see the fc26 logo and then i get the message ‘the software closed because an error occured’

Now im running atmosphere and it is not the latest version and the firmware is version 18.0.1 ams 1.7.1 E

Based on the error above is it possible i would need to upgrade my firmware for this game to work and it so can u remind me of the process and in which order to do thingz?

Could be.
Officially the minimum required firmware is v20.3.0
But that does not automatically imply that the game will throw an error if you run it on a lower firmware.
There is also the issue of sigpatches but I am not sure if it will make a difference installing the latest ones on a lower firmware.

Personally I upgrade my firmware with DayBreak.
Copy the firmware that you downloaded to the SD card,
(not sure if I can mention it here but a Google Search will take you to the Darth site)
Then just run Daybreak.
There are some manuals here on GBATemp with the details.

Thnks so for fc26 the officicial firmware required is 20+?

Usually in my previous experience if the firmware was a problem the game would not even install

Ok i do have daybreak
I am worried that uprading atmosphere might cause issues on cheats on other games is it possible to only upgrade the firmware via day break?

the new sonic game works and they are both released on the same day...

im going to see if i can redownload the fifa game or find an alternative source...
